Are you a gel or a cake kind of girl?

If eyeliner is the makeup item you just can’t live without, we’re willing to bet you have a favorite applicator as well. If not, you may want to consider your options – liquid, cake, gel or pencil.

Liquid
Liquid eyeliner provides a bold and brash color on lids. In fact, many women will agree that no other eyeliner can provide such all-over dark pigment. However, liquid eyeliner is often the hardest to apply and requires a steady hand.

Cake
Cake liner offers the ability to make clean or smoky strokes to create a variety of appearances. Keep in mind that it also requires practice in order to solidify the same look on both eyes.

Gel
Gel eyeliner is a great marriage of liquid and cake since it allows for easier application and requires less of a steady hand. However, once dried, cake liner is difficult to remove and the brush may need to be sanitized in order to prevent bacteria or infection.

Pencil
Pencil eyeliner is by far the easiest applicator. Perfect for beginners, it requires no additional materials and can be applied in two seconds flat.

Still conflicted? Well, what better way to figure out what works best for you than experimenting? Open your eyes to new beauty possibilities and decide what works for you.
