For Valentine’s Day, I wanted something romantic but also a bit different! Using (mostly) Revlon products, I paired a glossy, silver eye with black liquid liner, hot pink lips and glowing skin. This look is not hard to do and it will add a bit of glamour to your Valentine’s day.
How to get the look
Skin: After smoothing moisturizer onto my face, I mixed Revlon ColorStay Foundation for Normal/Dry Skin in Ivory and Sand Beige to create the right color for my skin. I always mix a lighter shade and a darker shade together because no foundation seems to exactly match my color. I buffed the foundation into my skin with a stippling brush to build up enough coverage. Then I blended Revlon Photoready Concealer in Light around my nose and chin since I usually have redness or pimples in those areas. To give more definition to my face, I contoured my cheekbones and forehead with Elf’s Contouring Blush and Bronzing Powder (I adore this product and it’s only 3 dollars!) Next, I applied the slightest amount of Nars The Multiple in Orgasm on to my cheeks and blended the color out with the same stippling brush. To give a glowing appearance to my skin, I blended Nars The Multiple in Copacabana onto the bridge of my nose, my cheekbones, chin and forehead.
Eyes: Using my fingers, I applied the silver color in Revlon’s Illuminance Cream Shadow Precious Metals palette onto my eyelids, blending the color with my fingers slightly up to the crease. This product gives the eye a glossy, almost wet look which is beautiful (and surprising for such a well priced shadow). Then I lined my upper lids with my absolute favorite liquid liner, Revlon’s ColorStay liner in blackest black. After curling my lashes, I applied a healthy amount of Revlon Grow Luscious Mascara to my top and bottom eye lashes. With an angled brush I filled in and defined my eye brows with the powder in Elf Professional Studio Eyebrow Kit, but I didn’t use the gel in the kit– it makes the area around my brows break out.
Lips: What better color for Valentine’s day than hot pink?! My favorite hot, hot pink is Revlon’s ColorBurst Lipstick in Fuschia. The formula is creamy, glossy but very pigmented and I love it. I applied the color straight from the bullet and blended the edges with a lipstick brush. There’s no need for a gloss over this lipstick- it is glossy enough already!
