While I don’t love celeb gossip or trashy magazines (I find them kind of abhorrent actually), I’ll
admit — there are certain celebrities I just love to look at pictures of for beauty inspiration. In
between the photos of stars who are purported to be pregnant and the totally ridiculous stories
about reality TV stars I don’t give a crap about, there are often photos of the women I find
absolutely breathtaking. In all honesty, I have a hard time turning down a gossip mag if I know
there is a picture of one of my beauty icons inside, even if Snooki is on the cover.
Here are three celebrities I just can’t get enough of.
Eva Mendes. I have had a girl crush on Eva Mendes for years and she has never once let
me down. Her look is always spot on. Dark eyes, thick lashes, golden skin, gorgeous brows,
and nude lips? Yeah, that’s pretty much the look I try to channel every day. And even though
her look, from her thick brows to her ladylike dresses to her beauty mark, is reminiscent of old
Hollywood, there’s still something modern about her. Unlike some starlets, when she wears a
1950s silhouette, it doesn’t look like she’s wearing a costume. And when she transitions from
classic looks to trendier styles, it doesn’t seem at all out of character.
Rachel McAdams. God, could this woman be any more gorgeous? I love how she is unafraid
to change up her look — her hair has been so many colors, including pink — and how she looks
perfectly polished every time I see her. I can’t put my finger on what exactly about her look I
love, but I think it has something to do with the fact that she’s always smiling; whether she’s on
the red carpet or posing for a magazine, you don’t see a lot of serious, sexyface poses from
Rachel. She seems comfortable in her own skin and never seems to be trying too hard.
Kerry Washington. This woman is so gorgeous, it hurts. I adore her gorgeous brown skin, big
Bambi eyes, and nude lips (again, a look I try to channel every day), and her style only makes
me love her more. She rocks the highest pumps (but always in classic shapes) and a variety of
gorgeous colors on the red carpet, but she makes D.C. workwear totally fashionable as the star
of “Scandal.” I want Olivia Pope’s awesome jackets, and her ability to walk in high heels and
impress/intimidate the hell out of everyone she meets would be nice too.
