It’s no surprise we focus on the appearance of our faces more so than most other parts of our bodies. Foundation, blush, powder and bronzer are all designed for the face, but all too often, we forget about that other part, very close to the face, that gets almost just as much visibility – our neck.
You may not have thought much about your neck when you were younger, but when it starts to show signs of aging, you’ll notice. Caring for the skin on your neck with a special products is crucial to keep the skin firm and youthful looking. But people will also notice your neck when your makeup isn’t blended into it, or looks splotchy and messy as it extends south of the jaw.
Blending (or not blending, as the case may be) is one of the worst makeup faux pas. If you wear liquid foundation, always blend this area with a makeup sponge or brush. Also, if you wear bronzer or blush on your face, it’s a good idea to sweep some along your collarbone and neck to give your makeup a more cohesive, natural look.
