Just worked out? About to work out? Want a healthy snack? Need more protein? Vegan? Health conscious?
If you can answer yes to any of those things, I’d like to recommend my new favorite protein powder. Sure, I tried it for free (and I am grateful to be a blogger who can learn about awesome new companies this way) but I promise all opinions are 100% honest. And my opinion is that PlantFusion Multi Source Plant Protein is worth a try.
The protein in PlantFusion comes from a blend of Amino Acids and Enzymes. I love reading the ingredient list and recognizing many of the protein sources, such as organic sprouted quinoa powder (yum) and L-Glutamine (important for workout recovery!). I definitely stand behind the PlantFusion ingredients.
Plus, PlantFusion is vegan, gluten-free, lactose-free and soy-free. For someone with chronic GI problems like me, this is a dream product. The proteins are easily-digestible and hypoallergenic. Their website has some helpful features, like comparisons of PlantFusion versus whey and soy proteins, which I found helpful. Basically, you get all the benefits of whey protein (which is dairy) without any of the stomach discomfort that can accompany it.
One serving contains 120 calories.
According to their website, the protein powder comes in four flavors:
- Vanilla Bean
I also received Chocolate Raspberry to sample, so I guess there’s more than just those!
So far, I’ve tried the Vanilla Bean and the Chocolate flavors, each shaken with just water. Both were good, though the vanilla bean had a slightly chalky taste with just water. I bet it would taste better mixed into a smoothie. If I ever decide to take my Magic Bullet blender down from the top of my closet, I just might try that out.
I really loved the chocolate, however. I drank that one down fast – how’s that for an easy to way to get more protein AND get a sweet taste!
Both flavors were easy to drink, didn’t have any weird aftertaste and took literally 10 seconds to prepare. I was surprised I liked it so much because, well, it’s protein powder. Many types of protein powder taste, to put it bluntly, disgusting.
I’m looking forward to trying the Chocolate Raspberry mixed with water and using the Unflavored in both smoothies and in my pancakes. Protein pancakes are a thing!
