How to keep skin gorgeous while traveling

Traveling is fun, but the journey and change of climate can sure wreak havoc on the skin! And when we’re looking back through vacation photos, the last thing we want to see is dull, weathered skin. So how do you keep your skin gorgeous while traveling? Here are some of our favorite tricks and tips.

Refresh
Always keep your skin hydrated! Drink plenty of water while traveling and bring a facial mist to spritz while on the plane. They’re calming, hydrating and will help keep your skin feeling refreshed. You can also use a facial mist daily for a nice dewy pick-me-up. Lather Cucumber & Ginseng Facial Mist and Evian Mineral Water Spray are some of our favorites you may want to try.

Environmentally stressed skin needs nourishment, and intense moisturizer and hydration is the way to go. Especially if you are traveling somewhere with a dryer-than-normal climate. For a super supple daytime moisturizer, try Clinique Moisture Surge Intense Fortifying Hydrator or Garnier Moisture Rescue Refreshing Gel-Cream. Both are extremely hydrating and the gel-like formula glides on. If you’ve traveled some place with humidity in the air but still want to moisturize the skin, try an oil-free formula like Neutrogena Oil-Free Moisture.

Prepare
More often than not, travel leads to stress which can lead to abnormal skin behavior like dryness and even breakouts. So it’s best to be prepared with a few products that can bring your skin back to normal. Bliss Steep Clean Mask is a great 15-minute formula that can easily reset your skin when needed. The facial deep cleans pores and helps brighten skin. For a deeper scrub, try Hydroxatone Revitalizing Microdermabrasion which polishes and exfoliates the skin revealing an instant glow.

Control
There’s nothing more unnerving than trying to control your skin in a new environment. Extreme humidity and dry weather are the main culprits that can wreak havoc on your skin. To help control oil and shine on your tropical vacation, try a toner in the evening like Lancome Tonique Radiance Clarifying Exfoliating Toner. For daytime shine control, make sure to pick some Clean & Clear Oil-Absorbing Sheets. They’re a great way to blot away excess shine without taking off your makeup.
