Tips for making that blowout last

We all have those “if I won the lottery, what would I do?” moments when you imagine a chef cooking your meals and a makeup artist dolling you up each day. Well, mine would be to have the perfect hair day EVERY day – with the help of my own hairstylist, of course.

Winning the lottery may not be in your immediate future, but having great hair every day can be your reality! You may think you are a pro at blow drying your hair, but these tips are sure to get you that blowout that stays perfect throughout your day.

– Use tools. Starting the blow drying process with wet hair that has been gently towel-dried, your instinct may be to use your hands to fluff the hair and speed up the process. Don’t do it! This will make for frizzy hair – only use a round brush! Also, do not put in too much product, which can make your tresses look limp.

– Divide and conquer. Separate your hair into different sections starting at the front, since this dries the quickest. Then, aim the dryer at the roots with a round brush and the blow dryer and move through until the ends.

– Let it be. The best way to keep that magnificent blowout is to not touch it. Even though this may be difficult, it’s worth it!
