Tan yourself pretty!

We have all suspected that tans make us look thinner, younger or more attractive in some way, which is an unfortunate catch 22 given that the sun’s rays are what damages the skin and causes signs of aging! But you don’t have to put yourself at the mercy of Mr. Sun (and especially not Mr. artificial Sun) to reap the bronzed benefits.

There are a million self- and sunless tanners on the market today, but while you’re avoiding the sun’s damage, why not take some steps to actually heal some of the detrimental effects it has already had on your skin? Choose a self tanner with hydrating ingredients like hyaluronic acid and other wrinkle-reversing ingredients for a tan that will literally make you look younger.

Once you’re tan, you’ll likely find it’s easier to get dressed and do your makeup. Plus, the contrast of tan skin makes your teeth look extra-pearly white. Sweep on some shimmery gold or bronze eyeshadow to accentuate your glow and make sure you match your foundation and concealer to your newly-bronzed skin tone.
