3 Short Hairstyles Anyone Can Pull Off

Have you ever found yourself  fantasizing about chopping off your long locks. We say, go for it! Here, we’ve compiled three of our favorite short hairstyles—from short to shorter to shortest—designed to keep you cool and looking hot all season long.

1. The Shoulder-Length Bob

If you’re not ready to commit to a major chop, consider this layered shoulder-length option. (Look to celebs like Jennifer Aniston or Heidi Klum for inspiration.) Shorter strands in the back keep the look breezy and fresh, while an asymmetrical cut lends length in the front. Spritz in a texturizing spray for even more height and beach-ready volume or smooth the ends with a serum for mirror-like shine.

2. The Sleek Crop

Play up your gorgeous face with this perfectly shaped ‘do. A few chin- and cheekbone-length layers in the front of the cut will emphasize your features and give the style dimension. This short haircut works equally well with bangs (a la Katie Holmes) as it does without (see Kiera Knightly’s chic cut) so you can choose the option that works best for you. Style it straight for the office, or scrunch in a shot of mousse for a funkier look.

3. The Shaggy Pixie

Want to take off some serious length? Take a cue from stars like Kris Jenner and Michelle Williams and go for a bold, face-framing cut. The trick to keeping this style from looking too masculine is adding a shaggy fringe and longer layers in the front. And, lucky you, this cut is extremely versatile. Invest in a soft-hold styling wax to add dimension and shine to the style whether you’re blow drying it straight or adding texture.
