I was making my final purchase at Sephora recently and was told that I had enough Beauty Insider points to receive a free gift. While I usually let my points pile up, I liked the package they had available so I accepted the gift package. In my small package was Benefit’s “Girl Meets Pearl Liquid Luminizer for Face”. I tried it out of sheer curiosity and now I’m hooked. Here’s why:
Girl Meets Pearl promises to give your face a glowing or “pearl like” shine. This soft, golden-pink liquid luminizer can be applied over makeup or worn alone; it can be used all over the face or patted on top of your blush to highlight the cheekbones.
Not only does this amazing luminizer offer you a unique glow, but the application itself is rather simple. You can either use your fingertips or a skunk brush to apply the product, and it goes on super easy. No magic tricks here! Multiple reviews insist that this product is not greasy at all, and I’m inclined to agree.
This product features light-reflecting pigments to give your complexion a dewy glow. It even has a sweet raspberry smell that many have noted as being very pleasant upon application. Also a plus, no glitter! So it isn’t like those shimmery products that leave you looking like a teenage girl. Some women have even been asked if they were expecting, that’s how subtle but absolutely radiant the product is.
The ingredients include chamomile, sweet almond seed, and raspberry which helps soothe the skin, improving firmness and smoothness. If you have sensitive skin like me, you can also enjoy this product. Other reviewers, including myself, have not had any issues with breakouts whatsoever.
The tube is priced at $30, but a little goes a long way, so you’ll have it for some time. The click-turn bottom that dispenses the product makes for a great way to control how much you’re using so you won’t be tempted to go overboard.
If you think I’m the only one raving about this product I’m not. Girl Meets Pearl has won awards by both InStyle as “The Best Beauty Buy” and TotalBeauty.com as the “Editors’ Pick for Best Highlighter”, respectively so. Want to give it a try? It’s available for purchase at your local Sephora, Macy’s and Benefit’s own website.
