Bobs are a great short haircut. It may seem like a simple haircut, but there are many variations you can choose to make a bob haircut work for you.
If you have a rounder face, go for a “lob” or a long bob. Keep the length around an inch below the chin or even longer if you want. Try side sweeping bangs or a framing cut to add some asymmetry to your soft features. This is a great haircut if you like to switch it up from wavy to straight and back again.
If you have an oval shaped face, go for a chin length bob. Keep the length right around the chin and keep the ends straight for the best look.
If you have a square shaped face, go for a choppy bob to soften your features. This is a great look for those with straight hair. To accentuate the choppiness of the cut, flip the ends randomly inward and outward when blowing out your hair.
A layered bob works well with square shaped faces as well. The layers will soften the squareness of your face. Create texture when styling by blow drying for volume or using a curling iron to accentuate the layers.
If you have a heart shaped face, go for a blunt bob. It will draw attention to your gorgeous eyes and cheekbones. Go for a smooth and straight style with this cut.
An angular face works best with an angular bob haircut and this cut looks best when smooth and straight. Ask your hairstylist for an A-lined bob.
Lastly, if you have an oval shaped face, you can really wear any type of bob. Oval faces can carry all bob styles fabulously.
