Easy Ways to Get Rid of Dark Circles

Easy-Ways-to-Get-Rid-of-Dark-Circles

Most women have experienced dark circles under their eyes at some point in their lives, whether it is a constant problem or only appears when you’re overly tired or stressed. For a long term solution, try to think if you’re consistently dehydrated, have allergies that cause dark circles or are always over-tired. If you figure out what causes your consistent dark circles, you can help find a long term cure. But if you need a quick fix, here are some easy ways to get rid of dark circles fast.

  1. Prep your skin before you reach for the concealer. Use an eye cream to hydrate your under eye area and choose one that has brightening properties too for an extra boost. If you have puffy eyes along with your dark circles, use a cooling eye gel serum too. This works well first thing in the morning, before your cream and concealer to help reduce the puffiness. You can also use a spoon that you put in the freezer to reduce puffiness around your eyes fast.
  2. Choose the right concealer for your dark circles. Start with color corrector makeup. If you have fair skin, go for pink color correctors and if you have medium or dark skin, use a peach tone color corrector. When using color-correcting concealers, you might be nervous because of the colors, but they blend very easily with your normal concealer and foundation and look natural. They are great at hiding those pesky dark circles. Use a concealer just a little bit lighter than your skin color for under the eyes, but make sure it blends well. Don’t choose a concealer for your under eye area that is too lightly colored or it will not look natural.
  3. Apply your corrector and then concealer after your cream has set. Lightly blend until you get the coverage you want. It works best if you use a foundation brush, beauty blender sponge or your fingers to blend the concealer. Remember, less is more! You don’t want the concealer to look heavy or cakey because it will make your dark circles more noticeable instead of hidden.
