Easy Hairstyles for the Busiest of People

When the holidays are near, you want to look your best. But you also have limited time, so taking the time to do your hair isn’t always at the top of your to-do list. Here are some easy hairstyles for the days you have a hard time getting up, your schedule is so jam-packed you can hardly breathe or you just simply don’t feel like spending the time doing your hair. These quick fixes can make even the worst of bad hair days a lot better.

1. Loose waves. If you can, braid your hair at night so you can wake up with easy waves. If you’re lucky, you won’t have to do much to make them look presentable in the morning. If your waves are a little frizzy or oddly shaped, simply use a flat iron or curling iron to re-wave certain sections, then finger comb.

2. For the days when you really have zero time or your hair is extra messy or dirty, use a headscarf, headband or hat to cover up your locks. You’ll look pulled together in no time.

3. Big bun. Spray hair with a texturizing spray and then brush hair into a high ponytail. Then tease your hair and smooth the ends of your teased hair. Wrap into a bun or use a sock bun to help you and set with bobby pins. Finish by using hair spray and smoothing any stray hairs with a brush coated in hairspray.

4. Milkmaid braids. Section hair down the middle and secure with ponytail holders. Braid and secure with elastic bands. Pull the braids up and over your head and secure with bobby pins.

5. Fishtail braid. Start with dirty hair and spray with dry shampoo. Separate into two even sections after you sweep your hair to one side. Then grab a thin strand from outside of each section and pull them across to intersect in the middle. Keep repeating and using the same size strands until you’ve reached the end and secure with a ponytail holder. It might be tricky at first, but try looking at a video to practice.

6. Pouf ponytail. Spray flat hair with hair spray and then section the front of your hair and start back-combing. Continue until you have teased six inches of hair. Use more hair spray and smooth back towards the back of your head and hold with bobby pins. Pull the rest of your hair into a low ponytail.
