Easy Hairstyles for Dirty Hair

Most likely from time to time or possibly on a consistent basis, as women, we’ve put ourselves last. Maybe you have children, a big family, work or a combination of both, that has put you last in line. This lack of self-care comes in many forms and often it’s reflected in our physical appearances and many times, our hair specifically. If you are interested in easy hairstyles for your not so clean hair, read on.

Start with texturizing spray, dry shampoo or possibly accessories. Spray in the texturizing spray or dry shampoo, backcomb your hair, add a headband and voila, your hair looks like you just washed it!

For a super easy approach, tie a bandana or scarf around your head. Fold your bandana in half to create a triangle or fold your scarf in thirds and tie behind your head. If there’s enough left, give tying it the front a go. For a unique look, tie the bandana behind your head; twist each end, and safety pin the “braid” near your hairline.

Try a braid for some beachy waves. Braid your hair before bed, enjoy a restful sleep and undo the braid in the morning. Add extra oomph with some texturizing spray. For a different approach, you could try a fishtail braid, a pull through braid or take it old school and give yourself pigtails.

Feeling a bit adventurous? Then the Fishtail Bun is your new best friend. For this look, tie your hair at the crown of your head, fishtail braid your hair, gently pull the braid to expand it, wrap it around to make a bun and secure with bobby pins. Did you flat iron your hair yesterday? Why don’t you try a sleek side pony? Gather your hair to one side with an elastic, grab a thick chunk of hair and wrap it around your ponytail. Don’t forget to secure it with bobby pins or a small clip. If needed, dust some dry shampoo on your roots.

Love curly hair? Are your bangs or roots a little oily? You can twist those babies across your hairline, pin them and curl the rest for a fun and vivacious hairstyle.

Feel like an ultra-simplistic approach? Grab your favorite hat, throw it on and be on your merry way.
