DIY Halloween Costume Ideas

Halloween is quickly approaching! Do you have a Halloween costume yet? If Halloween sneaks up on you, you might need some quick DIY Halloween costume ideas in case your local Halloween costume store is out of all of the good costumes. Whether you need a costume for a child or for yourself, try some of these DIY Halloween costume ideas:

Think of your favorite TV shows, movies or pop star characters. You can easily become many characters with clothes already in your closet or pick up items easily at a clothes store or thrift shop. Some easy examples are Danny and Sandy from Grease, Harry Potter characters, reality TV stars, Scooby Doo characters, Lady Gaga, Madonna, and much, much more.

If you really don’t have time and want to be a little cheeky, just take a white shirt and write “Error 404 Costume Not Found”. You probably won’t win any awards, but you might get a few laughs.

Grab some toilet paper and wrap yourself up. You can become a mummy or a mummy bride very quickly.

If you need a couple’s costume, try some unique ideas. If you have a wig and some paint supplies, go as Bob Ross and a Happy Little Tree. You could also be a famous duo like Sonny and Cher, or even dress up as your favorite foods that go well together like Peanut Butter and Jelly.

Becoming an animal is another great DIY costume. Choose your favorite animal and make items that will help you become that animal. Makeup can go a long way in making you into a furry little creature instead of a human.

If you don’t have time to grab new clothes or make items, makeup can really help with many costume ideas. You could easily become a skeleton with a lot of makeup.

If you have balloons lying around, you could become a bubble bath, a bunch of grapes or bubble gum.

What kind of Halloween costume will you go for this year? Do you like DIY costumes or will you just go buy one?
